The Ending for Christmas Day 2006

Richard & Mick displaying two smiles for the opening of their stockings. The boys were concerned that mom wouldn't have anything in her stocking, so they supplied a few unique gifts.
The picture of Rich standing in front of the TV shows him dancing while he is playing Mick's new game "Guitar Hero", needless to say it was funny. Then we have Rich displaying one of his many gifts and Mick grinning, he reminds me of someone but I can't think of who. We had a quiet day, talked with many relatives on the phone and spoke with Bruce when he awoke on the 26th. My hope at the end of this day is that I will never spend another Christmas without Bruce. Blessings to everyone! Deb

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hi Honey,
It's 9:00 pm here in Kansas and noon in Korea on Christmas day. We attended a new church in Wichita tonight for their candlelight service.
We miss you and hope your Christmas day is blessed with new friends and good food!
We love you!

Mick Breaking a $100.00 Bill

Mick earned his first "c-note" helping a friend's dad hang Christmas lights. He was thrilled and since he hadn't worked at Yia-Yia's through football season his wallet was also thrilled. Now
Mick is back at work and sees the need to stay
employed!

Christmas Party

Enjoying the Christmas with good friends Bill & Susan. The squadron celebrated at the country club where we ate, played games and even decorated candy houses.

Best Ending Yet for Central High

Mick and a few team mates celebrating their win. Their team went on to play 3 games. We went to Mick's football banquet on Wednesday night and now have a CD with over 4,000 pictures to remember the season. I've chosen only 3 to share on the blog for Bruce.

Football Highlights of Mick 06'

Not sure if Mick reached the ball. Great interception at the Mulvane Game of Mick (#3). He looked like he was taking the ball with ease!

Here's Bruce on his 42d birthday! My sponsor and his fiance took me to a live music restaurant for a great meal. The singer was a Korean man who was a pop star back in the 70s and 80s. I didn't expect him to sing songs like Solitary Man, Proud Mary, and Country Roads in English, but he was good and we had a great evening. He found out it was my birthday and had the whole restaurant sing me "Happy Birthday."

And if you haven't already guessed the posts under the pictures say Bruce but it's me! It took me three days of thinking and I finally have figured out how to post pictures and write messages. Bruce left on Friday and arrived safely in Korea around 6:30 pm the next day (Saturday). His sponsor picked him up at the bus terminal and gave him a ride in his 'soon-to-be' car. Ed is actually coming to McConnell and Bruce is replacing him in Korea. Bruce is 14 hours ahead of us in the Central time zone.

You can comment on the pictures if you create a blog with user name & password. If that information is not correct I'll give another update. Bruce says it is quick & easy. Bruce thinks he will be in his Q within the week and hopes to receive his household goods within the next two weeks. Three days down and 362 days to go!

The final hours late on Thursday night as Bruce is installing some new gadget for his laptop.

Rich & Mick doing the "I love you hug" and reminding mom that kids really do love touching each other, as long as no one gets hurt. Mick does seem to have the upper hand over the last year.

Here is the five inches of snow we received on the 30th of November. Bruce is really liking the snow & cold north winds.
